OUR STORY

After years of searching the State of Maine for our special vacation place, we bought land on Skyline Ridge in 1990. We created many family memories in and around the small log cabin we had built, ATVing, snowmobiling, hiking, antler shed hunting, fishing, canoeing. Enlarging our cabin and adding solar power, we eventually moved here in 2002. In addition to managing her wildlife art business, Brenda became a Registered Maine Guide. We built a log cabin, Camp Winona, to accommodate clients, adding Moose Mountain Cabin a few years later. After extensive renovations, the Tiny House became our third vacation rental in 2015. In 2020, we sold Camp Winona to one of our favorite guests. In an effort to simplify our "again much too busy" lives, the Tiny House was sold a year later. HOWEVER, stay tuned... we may have a completely unique rental unit... COMING SOON!

WE LOVE OUR AREA... YOU WILL TOO!

If you look at Andover on a map, you will see that it is located at the end of two state highways, Rt. 5 and Rt. 120. This tiny town is at the height-of-land, the edge of civilization. Thousands of acres of timber are managed by expert land stewards; logging is the prime industry.

This is where the pavement ends, and adventure begins!

Kayaking nearby remote lakes, you will see bald eagle, great blue heron, moose, deer, osprey, loon, merganser, geese and more! We recently spied a bear swimming across the lake! There are rivers and streams with riffles and rapids, too! World class fly-fishing, hunting, ATV trails, ITS snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking.... you will not know where to begin or where to end!

Andover is just a few miles from the Appalachian Trail. Secret waterfalls and swimming holes, desolate dirt roads for biking and hiking.... mountain tops covered with blueberries, fiddleheads, raspberry fields as far as your eye can see! If you long to "escape" the modern world, you need to come to Andover, where life is quiet and simple.

"Our daughter loved the loft and the hammock. We all loved the peace and quiet, the camp fires, and the cookouts on the deck. We had such a relaxing, fun time here and hope to stay again soon!"

- Becky P. - Moose Mountain Cabin

"I had searched for a cabin rental from Minnesota to Maine and parts of Canada and had found no other place that even came close to offering such a true wilderness experience."

-Paul W. - Camp Winona

"All the amenities of home and much more private than a hotel. Sled trails and general store right across the street. No wi-fi or tv so we had a blast playing monopoly which neither of us had in years."

-Josh T. - Tiny House
